The Story Behind
Millie's Bear Hug Bakery, LLC
..Made With Love..
Every business begins with a story. Mine begins with love, legacy, and the quiet ways life teaches us about connection with those around us. The name "Millie" comes from my mother — the woman who helped shape me in ways I didn’t fully understand until after she was gone. Growing up, I never knew she had a special name for me until I found a letter she wrote to my Grandfather. My Mother wrote to my Grandfather, "Millie is happy as a lark", as she ended the letter. It wasn’t until after she passed away that I discovered that was what she called me as a child. Learning that felt like hearing her voice again - familiar and missed.

Then there’s Bear — My Beautiful Son. He’s the heartbeat of my world, full of life, energy, love and warmth. His name inspired the other half of this story — "Bear Hug". As a child, and even to this day, he will forever be our "Baby Bear".
Because what’s more comforting, more healing, than a bear hug? When my mother passed away, it left a space in mine. But through that loss came a powerful reminder — to live with heart. To create something that embraces others with warmth and love. So, in time, Millie's Bear Hug Bakery was born — a blend of the love between generations, a name that carries the strength of a mother’s love and the pure joy of a child’s embrace.
Everything I do under this name is a tribute to what I knew she was capable of, but never got the chance to become — and a promise to my Son — that love, in all its forms, lives on.
